In this competition, CEIBS and Michelin have teamed up to invite the world's best talents to help TYREPLUS (Michelin’s automotive after-sales service brand) build a sustainable innovation mechanism. The competition focuses on two core directions: business innovation and customer experience innovation.

Dr. Shameen Prashantham, Professor of International Business and Strategy, Associate Dean, and MBA Director at CEIBS, delivered the opening remarks for the event. He stated, "As a leading business school in Asia with global recognition, CEIBS values diverse perspectives and a global mindset. INNOVATEChina, a flagship initiative of the CEIBS MBA programme, provides outstanding talents from top institutions worldwide with a platform to present and exchange ideas in front of industry and academic leaders. It accelerates the implementation of healthcare innovations and continuously empowers the development of China’s healthcare sector.

Dr. Ding Yuan, Dean of CEIBS, opened the event, saying, "Innovation China continues CEIBS' tradition of innovation and entrepreneurship, gaining global recognition. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the MBA 2021 student-led team ensured the event proceeded as planned. This year marks the first time in 13 years that the competition is held online, aligning perfectly with the theme Connecting the Future". Dr. Ding also encouraged global audiences and students to actively engage in the event.
The event began with a welcome speech by Professor Li Mingjun, Dean of CEIBS. Mr. Huang Shanyi, Senior Brand Director at vivo (CEIBS MBA 2012 alumnus), then delivered the keynote. He highlighted the rising importance of fashion and technology in electronics, noting that the average age of high-end product customers in China is 30, compared to 50 in the U.S., and shared how vivo became China’s second-largest smartphone supplier by resonating with millennials.
